Here we are nearing the end of 2016 and what better way to cap off a landmark year for electric mobility than to run through the exciting industry events that took place namely, iWheel4Fun, Car Free Sunday and the Singapore Bike Show.
2016 started with Singapore’s inaugural Electric mobility challenge and carnival — iWheel4Fun. iWheel4Fun is a one day event that brought together 30 different PEV vendors, government authorities, lifestyle vendors and other organizations to the big open space carpark of Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal.
The event had many firsts — first PMD challenge event where electric scooters and electric unicycle riders took part in slalom challenges that involved navigating ramps and circuits. Drinks partner, Red Bull Singapore had their red bull mini coopers and Land Rovers packed with free drinks for the thousands of event visitors. It had a true carnival atmosphere!
It was also the first such event that brought together all the major electric mobility vendors across Singapore and the governing authority – LTA. It was a good opportunity for everyone to network and interact and for the LTA to introduce their safe riding initiatives.
